A weight number without its test conditions is not an installation plan
Catastrophic Creations’ current instructions specify studs, concrete or brick for its own system and provide product-specific planning. Its FAQ explicitly warns against treating drywall anchors as primary support for that furniture. The Lotus Branch instructions name a different exact mounting arrangement. IKEA’s general anchoring guidance changes hardware by wall type.
Together, these sources support one rule: follow the complete instructions for the named product and the actual support. They do not create a universal screw, stud spacing, shelf gap or safe load for every wall. If the support is uncertain, use a qualified installer rather than an online estimate.
